Documents that matter
- Bank statements for three to six months, with income that matches your job.
- An employer letter confirming your role, salary and approved leave.
- If visiting family, an invitation letter with your host's status in the UK.
Biometrics
After applying online you give fingerprints and a photo at a visa centre. We book the appointment.
Timing
Apply at least six weeks before you travel. Decisions usually take around three weeks after biometrics, but can take longer in busy seasons.
